• Original Maeda Samurai armor.
• 2nd half of the Edo period.
• 32-plate helmet, natural russet iron.
• Mon on the fukigaeshi and the maedate, made of silver
• Heavy emphasis on ivory-colored odoshi throughout. Condition good. Otherwise two-tone pattern throughout.
• Menpo is urushi (lacquered black) in good condition. Mustache in original and perfect condition.
• Mon to be found again on the front of the cuirass and on the sode (shoulder guards). Made of silver.
• The back of the cuirass is also laced in off-white and in good condition.
• An important feature is the rare, original, hata-sashimono (flag). The flag’s colors reflect the colors used for the lacing of the armor.
• Comes with its period yoroi-bitsu (box) and the bear-fur shoes.
